Myrberg's powerful novel I Revolutionens namn (In Name of the Revolution), part one in a trilogy, is something for you who's interested in historical environments and happenings. It's a juicy family chronicle in revolutionary France about struggle for power, treachery and love. The novel tells about Armand Duboix's experiences during the French revolution, how it starts with good ideals and need for reforms, but soon turns into an internal struggle for power. Duboix takes part in the storming of the Bastille, and in the Revolutionary army. But everyone in the family doesn't share Armand's point of view...

Kejsarens soldater (The Emperor's soldiers), the second part, tells about Jules Duboix's experiences during the Napoleon wars. As newly examined and newlywed Jules is sent to the front line. Life in the field consists of both friendship and hostility.  Beyond the propaganda no idealism exists in practice. Jules returns as Cardin's successor as regimental commander, and the going back to a parts civilian life isn't as easy as he wished.

The second part of the family chronicle, Kejsarens soldater (The Emperor's soldiers), tells about Jules Duboix's experiences during the Napoleon wars. He experiences that the propaganda which is presented to the cadets isn't equivalent to the reality in the field.
